About the Workflow Builder

The Workflow Builder chains DocsSeva tools into a single pipeline, so a file goes through several jobs in one run instead of being downloaded and re-uploaded between tools. Each step receives the output of the step before it: compress a PDF and then watermark it, resize a batch of photos and then compress them for an upload limit, or turn several phone photos into one PDF.

Every step uses the same processing and the same settings as the standalone tool it comes from, so a workflow gives the result you would get by running those tools one after another yourself.

How it works

  1. Upload — add a PDF or an image, or several images at once.
  2. Build — add steps from the tool library and open each one to adjust its settings. The order of the list is the order they run in.
  3. Run and download — the steps run in sequence and the result is shown for you to check before you download it. When a step produces several files, such as splitting a PDF into single pages, they are packaged into one ZIP.

Save a workflow and use it again

Save workflow turns your steps and their settings into a link. Opening that link later loads the same pipeline, ready for a new file, and you can share it with someone who does the same job every week. The link holds settings only: your files are never part of it, and PDF passwords and custom background images are left out on purpose, so they have to be entered again.

Where your files go

Most steps run entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. A few steps — adding a password to a PDF and AI background removal — can send the file to DocsSeva's server over HTTPS for that step only; it is used to produce the result and not kept. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
