GATE 2027 Photo & Signature Resize
GOAPS, the GATE 2027 application portal run by IIT Madras, takes a colour photo of 3.5 × 4.5 cm and a signature about three times as wide as it is tall, both as JPG. Pick one, drop in your scan, and download a file inside the pixel and KB limits.

Before you submit
- A photo or signature that breaks the rules marks the application DEFECTIVE. You can upload a new one until the deadline; after that the application may be provisional or rejected.
- Both the live photo taken during registration and the photo you upload are considered, so upload a recent photo that looks like you today. The Aadhaar or DigiLocker photo is not used.
- Signatures in capital letters, initials only, digital signatures, signatures on a dark background and signatures that are too small are rejected.
- GATE's own pages give the face size as both 30–35% and 60–70% of the photo. Compare yours with the sample grid on the official Photograph & Signature page before you upload.
- Limits of up to 1 MB per file quoted online are from GATE 2024 and 2025 and no longer apply.
