Before you submit
- The signature image must show your signature three times, stacked one below the other, on one sheet. A single signature is a common rejection.
- The photo background must be plain white; use the Passport Photo tool first if yours is not.
- Your photo must match what you bring to the exam hall, so avoid heavy editing or filters.

Common Questions
UPSC accepts anything from 350 to 1,000 pixels a side. 500 × 500 sits safely inside that range and leaves room to stay above 20 KB without padding.
The photo is attached to your One Time Registration and reused across applications, so upload a clear recent one.
It varies, so the tool aims about 3% under the upper limit and, where there is a lower limit, just above it in 1,024-byte KB. The file is accepted either way.
