Before you submit
- In the 2026 cycle the photograph was on the list of fields that could not be changed in the correction window, while the signature could. Get the photo right before you submit.
- NTA checks the live photo against your Aadhaar records, and in January 2026 candidates whose photos did not match had to submit attested photo certificates. If your Aadhaar photo is old, update it first.
- Carry one passport-size photo, the same as the one you uploaded, to the exam centre.
- A photo limit of 10–300 KB quoted on many sites is from the 2025 bulletin; 2026 lowered it to 200 KB. Re-check the sizes when the 2027 bulletin is published.

The 2026 bulletin's text says a JPG of 10–100 KB, but its own sample upload screen shows 10–50 KB. This page aims at 10–50 KB, which satisfies both.

It varies, so the tool aims about 3% under the upper limit and, where there is a lower limit, just above it in 1,024-byte KB. The file is accepted either way.
